Derby Street Children's Centre

Derby Street Children’s Centre (DSCC) welcomes children from all families, cultures, faiths, abilities, genders and sexualities. We celebrate the different and multifaceted experiences of each child.

DSCC is a community-run, not-for-profit centre. All funds are reinvested to create the best possible opportunities for our children, staff, and community.

Our centre is committed to creating an environment where the interests, abilities, and cultures of every child and their family are valued, through kind and curious discussions with our children and their families.

The Derby Street Children's Centre community acknowledges the Wurundjeri People of the Kulin Nation as the Traditional Owners of the sovereign lands and waterways of Merri-bek, where our centre operates. We pay our respects to their Elders, past and present.

At DSCC we are passionate about ensuring that Aboriginal and Torres Strait lsander perspectives are weaved in all parts of our programs. We recognise that this is an ongoing journey of discovery and reflection, working alongside the Wurundjeri people and many Aboriginal and Torres Strait Isander People who contribute to the culture of the community.
